My interaction and networking with the Austin film community as well as my interests and studies as a Writing & Rhetoric major have contributed to a fundamental and growing understanding of trends and changes within the art and media industries. Over the years, I’ve familiarized myself and worked with film organizations and workshops, such as the Austin Film Society, Austin Film Festival, and Austin Film Meet, to grow my understanding of the industry and hone my craft as a writer. I seek to work in visual and written media, whether it be in film, video games, or publishing, using a variety of mediums to express the full spectrum of art. Examples of enrichment classes are ballet, stop-animation, sculpting, karate, brass instruments, photography, French, and science.As a writer, auteur, and innovator, I seek to expand human potential through the creative medium, intellectually and emotionally challenging the mass audience. The number and type of classes to CHOOSE from varies from site to site. Classes are free to children enrolled in the program on the day the class is held, and children not enrolled in the program may sign up to take the class for a tuition fee. Enrichment Classes:Ĭlasses are taught by instructors who have expertise in the class topic. Some examples of club themes are science, drama, journalism, fitness, Spanish, cooking and the environment. Clubs:Ĭlubs are special-interest groups that children may CHOOSE to join which require significant teacher facilitation. Some examples of staff-facilitated activities are active games, team sports such as soccer or softball, other activities such as a cooking or sewing project, or a more complex art project.
